Milorad Dodik, the President of Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity, congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and leader of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Milos Vucevic on the victory in Sunday's elections, which was declared by Vucic but has not been officially confirmed yet.
“I congratulate to all the citizens who voted for progress and stability and chose the political stability of Serbia in these challenging international circumstances,” Dodik wrote on X.
He said he was proud of all people in Republika Srska who cast their votes and thus “showed our further integration with Serbia.”
A total of 11,500 citizens of Serbia who reside in Bosnia and Herzegovina were eligible to vote in the Serbia extraordinary parliamentary election on Sunday.
Dodik, who holds Serbian citizenship as well, cast his vote in Banja Luka, Republika Srpska's administrative seat.
According to preliminary results, the election ticket headed by his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) is in the lead.
