Election campaign warning over LGBTI stigma in Bosnia

Politicians and public figures in Bosnia and Herzegovina were urged not to exploit the upcoming election campaign to spread intolerance and misinformation about LGBTI people. The country's Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees issued the warning to coincide with the International Day Against Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia and Interphobia (IDAHOT Day), noting that the community continues to face violence, stigmatisation, and the denial of basic rights.
