Bosnian engineering company Energoinvest has secured its return to the Libyan market after more than a decade by signing an international contract with the Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO). The deal, valued at over 5.3 million Bosnian marks (approx €2.71 million), focuses on constructing power supply facilities in the city of Misrata.

The agreement was signed by LISCO representative Mohammed Al-Faqieh and Energoinvest Director Mirza Ustamujic, with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Libya, Senad Masovic, in attendance. Outperforming 11 prominent international companies, Energoinvest was selected based on the technical and financial quality of its proposal.

The project will be executed as a complex, turnkey system. Energoinvest will handle the complete design, engineering, equipment procurement, electrical and civil works, installation, testing, and final commissioning of the new power facilities. During his visit, Ustamujic inspected the future construction site to assess working conditions.

Ustamujic stated that this return proves the company is reclaiming its position in international markets. He highlighted the involvement of young experts working alongside experienced staff, adding that the project sends a message that Bosnia retains the expertise to revive its historic industrial symbols.

Ambassador Masovic welcomed the contract as a milestone for bilateral cooperation. Energoinvest last executed a contract in Libya in 2015. This new project positions Bosnian firms as reliable partners for major global infrastructure and energy developments.
