EUFOR and Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina showcase readiness in “Combined Response 26”

Conducted under realistic and demanding conditions, the exercise brought together EUFOR personnel and members of the BiH Armed Forces to enhance coordination, interoperability, and operational readiness. Through a series of complex scenarios, participants demonstrated their ability to effectively cooperate in responding to potential security challenges.

The exercise underscored the strength of the EUFOR–AFBiH partnership, built on professionalism, discipline, and a common objective. Training of this kind plays a critical role in ensuring that both forces remain prepared, capable, and ready to act in maintaining a secure and stable environment.

EUFOR Commander Major General Maurizio Fronda highlighted the importance of such exercises, stating that “Combined Response 26 clearly demonstrated the strength of our cooperation and our shared commitment to always remain ready.” He added that continuous joint training ensures both EUFOR and the Armed Forces of BiH are fully prepared to preserve peace, security, and stability for all citizens.

EUFOR continues to operate within its mandate to support the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina while maintaining a credible, visible, and impartial presence.
