Eurowings to launch direct Berlin–Sarajevo flights

The Berlin–Sarajevo route is the result of a partnership between Sarajevo International Airport, the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board, and the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Economy. Together, they have implemented initiatives and incentives to strengthen the tourism offer and create a welcoming environment for new airlines and destinations.

Tickets are already on sale on Eurowings' official website and at the ticket sales counter at Sarajevo International Airport.

Although the route was initially planned to start in 2024, the airline has now confirmed that the flights will be introduced as part of a broader expansion of services from Berlin.

Eurowings previously operated flights between the two capitals in 2013 and 2014, and again in 2019, with services ending in January 2020. The route was scheduled to resume in March that year, but was cancelled due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

With the addition of Berlin to existing Eurowings routes from Sarajevo to Cologne and Stuttgart, connectivity between Sarajevo, Germany and the rest of Europe will be further improved, the Sarajevo Canton Press Service said.
