The Health Ministry of Bosnia's Federation (FBiH) entity confirmed the news that Bosnia will receive a small number of Covid-19 vaccines through the COVAX facility, on Friday, adding that health workers and care homes beneficiaries will receive the first.

“The vaccines will be delivered by the end of January or early February. The FBiH ordered 800,000 doses in the first round of procurements through the COVAX facility and we expect a smaller contingent of Pfizer vaccines to receive first,” the Health Ministry said.

The priority group for the reception of the vaccines are health workers and care home beneficiaries.

The FBiH is determined to receive quality and safe vaccines approved by the highest EU medical regulators, the Ministry said in its statement.
