Banja Luka Football Club Borac is the new Champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after waiting 10 long years for the title.

Borac FC played against Tuzla City FC on their home stadium in Banja Luka, defeating the guests 2:0. Even though the season is not over yet, the Banja Luka team has the lead over the second-best Sarajevo FC of four points.

As this is their only second time to win the title, after winning it in 2011, the victory is even sweeter.

The team will now compete in the qualifiers for the Champions League.

Borac FC was cheered from the VIP section of the stands by the BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik, the President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) region Zeljka Cvijanovic, the head of the BiH Football Association Vico Zeljkovic and other dignitaries from the RS.
