The final shipment containing 18,720 Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines, which Bosnia and Herzegovina procured through the EU4Health programme, arrived in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
This means that so far 214,110 vaccine doses purchased through the programme have arrived in the country so far.
Of the € 13.7 million allocated under EU4Health to support vaccination against Covid-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, more than € 9 million remains for supporting the continued purchase of vaccines.
The EU will continue to work with the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other authorities to facilitate further deliveries.
The EU and its member states have delivered a total of 1,302,110 doses of vaccines to Bosnia and Herzegovina so far.
The Wednesday delivery is part of a promise of 650,000 Pfizer / BioNTech EU-funded vaccines funded for Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Northern Macedonia. The last shipments of vaccines arrived at their destinations this week.
