Fuel prices surge in Federation of BiH: Diesel reaches 2.90 Bosnian marks

Retail fuel prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity have seen a significant upward trend since late February. According to the Federal Ministry of Trade, the average price of Diesel has climbed to 2.90 Bosnian marks (approx. €1.48) per liter, while Premium 95 Gasoline now stands at 2.42 marks (approx. €1.24).

The increase is particularly sharp for Diesel, which rose from 2.35 marks (approx. €1.20) in late February to its current price, marking a 0.55 mrks (approx. €0.28) jump in just two weeks. Gasoline prices rose from 2.32 marks (approx. €1.19) to 2.42 marks (approx. €1.24) in the same period.
Authorities reminded distributors that profit margins remain capped at 0.06 marks (approximately €0.03) for wholesale and 0.25 marks (approximately €0.13) for retail. Market inspectors are currently conducting intensified field checks to ensure gas stations are forming prices in accordance with these legal limits.
