New majority in Tuzla Canton: Edis Dervisagic appointed new Prime Minister

Dervisagic, a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), is the former mayor of Gracanica.

The session of the Appointment Commission was not held, as the members stated that they did not have the necessary conditions to work due to the absence of candidates' biographies.

The session was followed by a heated debate led by the now-former Speaker of the Assembly, Zarko Vujovic.

Husein Tokic was elected Speaker of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton, with Sladjan Ilic (SDP) and Silva Banovic (NIP) elected as vice-presidents.

A new assembly majority was formed on Thursday. The request for the emergency session was signed by representatives of the SDP, Socialdemocrats of BiH (SDBiH), the Party of Justice and Peace (NiP), the Movement for Democratic Action (PDA), the Our Party (NS), independent representative Jakub Suljkanovic, as well as Asmir Hasic and Emir Salihovic, who joined the Democratic Action Party (SDA) in 2023 after previously being members of the Party for BiH (SBiH).
