A protest of workers worried about the survival of their company began in front of the administrative building of the Ugljevik Mine and Thermal Plant (RiTE Ugljevik). Namely, Rashid Serdar's company "Comsar Energy" is not giving up on the concession on the RiTE Ugljevik coal deposit, and it announced that it will start mining ore as soon as it receives all permits.

The RiTE Ugljevik workers, who are still on strike which is taking place with a minimal work process, believe that the existence of their company is under threat.

Their main demand is to terminate the concession contract, which Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity Government concluded with the company “Comsar Energy” owned by the Russian oligarch, Rashid Serdarov.

The situation in one of the most important energy companies in the RS – RiTE Ugljevik – is best confirmed by Wednesday’s blocking of that company's bank account. According to BN TV, the banks have blocked the accounts of RiTE Ugljevik due to debts and outstanding obligations to suppliers, the Buka news portal reported.
