KInes Kujundzic, FERK’s spokesperson, confirmed that the average price increase amounts to 6.85 percent. For consumers outside the household category, the increase will be 3.67 percent, while public lighting tariffs will rise by 5.08 percent.
A new three-tier tariff system for households will also be introduced:
- Green block: 0–350 kWh per month
- Blue block: 351–1,000 kWh
- Red block: over 1,000 kWh
“The aim of this block system is to encourage more rational electricity use,” Kujundzic said, noting that the differences in pricing between the blocks will be minimal.

She added that FERK's technical team thoroughly reviewed Elektroprivreda BiH’s proposal and determined it was in line with regulatory methodology, recommending its adoption.
“The new tariffs officially take effect on September 1, 2025,” Kujundzic emphasised.
