The Government of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity adopted the Information on the termination of cooperation with American and British diplomats in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday due to alleged anti-Dayton activities.
“The RS Government concluded that the RS is forced to end cooperation with the diplomats of both embassies and in this regard, it requests the RS institutions, representatives in ‘joint institutions’ at the BiH level, local self-government bodies in the RS, as well as other public authorities not to cooperate with the embassies of the USA and Great Britain. The RS Government is convinced that such actions of the embassies of the USA and Great Britain are not in accordance with the official policies of the USA and Great Britain towards BiH and it is of the opinion that the suspension of cooperation will last until the embassies of the USA and Great Britain stop the practice of interfering in the internal affairs of BiH,” the RS Government stated.
They pointed out they believe that “it is the obligation of the embassies of the USA and Great Britain not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, which also applies to BiH where they are only diplomatic representatives”.
“The RS Government will inform the competent institutions of the USA and Great Britain about the termination of cooperation with the embassies due to their anti-Dayton activities and violations of international law, the Charter of the United Nations and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations,” the RS Government concluded.
