The Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) submitted to the BiH’s Prosecutor's Office an amendment to its criminal complaint against the President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina Suad Arnautovic and the members Zeljko Bakalar, Irena Hadziabdic, Ahmet Santic, Jovan Kalaba and Vanja Bjelica Prutina, arguing they abused their office.

The party noted that, on October 18, Arnautovic said the CEC is considering whether to repeat the election for the post of president in Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity.

The party said that the CEC “cannot know at this moment what measures it will take” after the recount of the ballots since the process is still ongoing and that this behaviour of the CEC president shows that “all the steps and actions taken by this Commission and which will be undertaken were agreed upon in advance.”

The complaint states that this “confirms that the persons reported above as officials of the CEC of BiH, with the intention of favouring an electoral subject, exceeded their official powers and in advance, without waiting for the outcome of the ongoing activity/counting of ballots/, agreed on the decision on annulment and re-election for the level of President of the Republic of Srpska”.
