Strong winds blew part of the roof off the stands at the stadium of the Sports and Recreational Center "Radomir Kovacevic" in Drvar, according to the management of the Drvar Football Club "Borac". The situation is also difficult in Bosanski Grahovo, where the wind uprooted trees and damaged roofs.
“During the night and early morning hours, we were left without a roof. The wind blew away a part of the sheet metal structure from the stands”, club officials stated.
“Next year we are celebrating a big 100-year jubilee, and we have to build the roof. This is a real blow for us, to which we are unable to respond”, they stated.
Strong winds also affected the municipality of Bosansko Grahovo.
“The wind tore down traffic signs, destroyed roofs, uprooted trees, and in addition to the wind, heavy rain is falling that mixes with ice,” a local told the Srna news agency.
He added that the older residents say that they do not remember such a storm in the past seventy years.
