Students and citizens gather in Sarajevo to honor tram accident victims

Some students arrived from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, where 23-year-old student Erdoan Morankic, who was killed in the accident, studied. According to N1 reporters, friends of Ella Jovanovic, a 17-year-old girl who was seriously injured in the crash, were also present at the gathering.

Many citizens joined the vigil to express condolences to the victims’ families and show support for the injured. A large group of attendees carried a banner reading, “We are with you, Ella – stay strong.”

Meanwhile, following the serious traffic accident, the Sarajevo Canton Government has remained in continuous session. During this morning’s meeting, officials presented information on measures already taken, as well as ongoing actions being implemented by the relevant institutions, according to an official statement.
