Russian ambassador in Serbia says Dodik should show restraint

The ambassador (who was Russia’s ambassador in Bosnia-Herzegovina before coming to Serbia) said that Moscow is following the situation following the declaration by the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) which called for a Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina with a single president. He told the pro-government TV Pink that Russia is very concerned about the situation but feels that the main thing is for Dodik (a former president of the Republika Srpska - RS) to show restraint.  

According to Botsan-Kharchenko Dodik “spoke about some possible steps that the RS could take because his goal is well known and that is preserving the peace and keeping everything about the RS within the frameworks of the Dayton Agreement which is his duty as Presidency member”.  

Botsan-Kharcehnok said the SDA document is a step backwards which has nothing to do the Dayton agreement. “The plan is to create a crisis and have someone from the international community offers something which can be then be said to be more flexible,” he said, adding that the solution would be identical to the declaration but in softer wording.
