“He was admitted to the University Clinical Centre five days ago due to the pain in stomach, nausea, fatigue and heavy breathing. Following the medical check-up we established that Dodik had bilateral pneumonia, gastritis and, after the third test, he was positive for the coronavirus,” said Vlado Djajic, the general manager of the University Clinical Centre in Banja Luka, Bosnia's northern and second-largest city, told media.

He also conveyed a message that he said was coming directly from Dodik.

“I must pass his message and promise that he will win this battle, just like he did many before and those coming in the future,” said Djajic.

Dodik was admitted to the hospital Sunday evening and was diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia a day later. He also tested positive for the coronavirus.

He previously spent a few days in isolation due to the contact with a Covid-19 patient. Prior to the hospitalisation, Dodik complained about nausea and stomach pain.

Serbia sent a team of doctors to Banja Luka where Dodik is being treated after he tested positive for coronavirus, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday. He said Dodik’s health condition is “not ideal” but also “not terrible.”
