The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not initiate an investigation regarding the criminal charges filed by Serb Democratic Party (SDS), Party of Democratic Progress (PDP), Lista za pradvu i red and Narodni Front, against Milorad Dodik and others, in which they requested the judiciary to investigate electoral fraud in the general elections held in 2022.
In the notification, which the BiH Prosecutor's Office delivered to Branislav Borenovic, the leader of PDP, it is stated that an order was made not to initiate the investigation because there is no suspicion that the reported persons committed the criminal acts that they are being charged with.
The crimes reported are organized crime under Article 250 of the CC of BiH; election fraud under Article 154 of the CC of BiH; violation during voting (Article 152); violation of voting secrecy (Article 153) and destruction of electoral documents (Article 155).
According to the PDP leader, this is a shameful decision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
“Even more shameful is the explanation that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina believes that, despite the hundreds of evidence presented, there are no grounds for suspicion that Dodik and the [Alliance of Independent Social Democrats] SNSD committed any of the criminal acts of electoral fraud, violations of voters’ freedom of choice, voting fraud, violations of the secrecy of voting and the destruction of documents”, said Borenovic.
He added that this is just one more proof that “there is a clear connection between the judiciary and the ruling SNSD political structure.”
