Children from Srebrenica honour genocide victims with 'Srebrenica Inferno' VIDEO
The commemorative oratorio Srebrenica Inferno was performed at the Memorial Centre in Potocari, bringing the official remembrance ceremony for the victims of the 1995 Srebrenica genocide to a close.
The emotional composition, performed by children from Srebrenica, paid tribute to more than 8,000 Bosniak men and boys killed after the fall of the UN-protected enclave in July 1995.
Following the performance, mourners proceeded with the funeral prayer, after which the remains of 10 newly identified genocide victims will be laid to rest at the Potocari Memorial Cemetery.
The annual commemoration marks the anniversary of the genocide, recognised by international courts as the only genocide committed on European soil since the Second World War.
