The European Parliament will commemorate the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica July 11, Slovenian MEP Klemen Groselj announced, Anadolu news agency reported Saturday.
Groselj announced on his Twitter account that the European Parliament will include the commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica on the session agenda, on July 11.
“The 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica. It is commendable to see that the European Parliament included a discussion on the commemoration of this tragic event on its agenda,” said Groselj.
As part of the discussion, a statement by the President of the European Parliament is planned as well as an address by representatives of political groups in this institution of the European Union (EU).
