First snowfalls hit Bjelasnica as sharp temperature drop sweeps across Bosnia

According to data from the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, temperatures dropped to 0°C on the Olympic mountain by 11:00 AM, whilst weather service BH Meteo reported readings of -1°C at the summit. Across the rest of the country, morning temperatures varied significantly, with Ivan Sedlo recording 11°C, Sarajevo 15°C, and Banja Luka 17°C, whereas southern regions remained considerably warmer, reaching up to 21°C in Mostar and 22°C in Neum.

Forecasts for the remainder of the day indicate moderately to mostly cloudy conditions across Bosnia, with occasional light rain or localized showers possible in central, eastern, and northern areas. Conversely, Herzegovina can expect sunny weather accompanied by light to moderate cloud cover.

Winds will remain light to moderate from the north and north-west, though occasional stronger gusts are expected in southern and south-western parts of the country. Daytime maximum temperatures are projected to range between 15°C and 20°C across Bosnia, rising to 25°C in the south.
