Days before the winners of the 2021 Academy Awards are to be announced, former United States First Lady and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, recommended Bosnia’s Oscar nominee ‘Quo Vadis, Aida?’, by director Jasmila Zbanic, on Twitter.

“For anyone catching up on their Oscars viewing this weekend, I'd recommend “Quo Vadis, Aida.” Telling the story of the Srebrenica massacre through one woman's race to save her family, it's an unsparing look at how genocidal violence happens,” Clinton tweeted.

The film, which was named best foreign feature film at the 57th Antalya Film Festival and was screened at the Venice Film Festival and received numerous awards, was praised by numerous critics across the world.
