High Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt will address the UN Security Council on Tuesday regarding the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, N1 learned.

Schmidt will speak to the Security Council at the invitation of the United States delegation to the UN.

Earlier this week it was announced that Bosnia’s Serb Presidency member Zeljka Cvijanovic would be the only one to address the Security Council via video link.

Cvijanovic has been on the US “blacklist” since June 31, 2023, due to threats to the Dayton Peace Agreement, the integrity, and sovereignty of BiH.

The Security Council session is set to begin Tuesday evening at 10 pm.
