According to a statement from NATO headquarters, she welcomed the productive exchange of views and the continuation of high-level dialogue between the Alliance and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Deputy Secretary General highlighted the achievements of the long-standing partnership, which is built on political dialogue and practical cooperation, further facilitated by NATO’s enhanced presence in Sarajevo. She expressed NATO’s readiness to deepen this cooperation, building on the inaugural Individually Tailored Partnership Programme adopted last year, the optimized implementation of the Reform Programme, and bolstered support through the Defense Capacity Building (DCB) initiative.

Sekerinska pointed out that comprehensive, authority-led reforms are essential to creating a framework through which NATO can deliver its tailored support more effectively. She noted that while the Alliance provides robust mechanisms for reform, their full potential can only be reached if matched by credible domestic efforts.
"NATO already provides strong mechanisms for reform, but their full potential can only be realized if followed by credible national efforts, including the allocation of a larger budget to support the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina," she stated. Highlighting the current global security climate, she added that both Allies and partners must invest more in their own defense and resilience.
The Deputy Secretary General concluded by reiterating that NATO stands firmly behind the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, continuing its support for the country’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
