Renowned Banja Luka journalist and blogger Slobodan Vaskovic has passed away at the age of 63.

Vaskovic died in Belgrade, with the news of his death announced on his official account.

“Our dear Slobo has left us and crossed to the Other Side, fighting until the end. Others have written his biography for years, but for us he was and will always remain the best son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle…” his family stated in a post on his official blog.

Born in 1960, Vaskovic was a prominent Bosnian investigative journalist and blogger, widely recognised for his critical reporting on corruption, organised crime, and political scandals.

Through his influential “Slobodan Vaskovic Blog,” he built a reputation as a fearless voice exposing alleged misconduct by high-ranking officials, particularly in Republika Srpska.
