Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that not a single piece of Serbian arms, tools, or ammunition was sold either to Russia or Ukraine and that those who claim otherwise are "liars and false informers who should be ashamed because they are harming Serbia."
“According to international laws, there are so-called permitted users and Serbia can only export to such countries. We did everything in accordance with the law, we are clean as a whistle,” said Vucic in Doha, where he is participating in a conference organized by the United Nations.
Regarding the allegation that Serbia exported arms to Ukraine via Turkey, he said that Serbia “protected itself additionally” knowing that there is a possibility that some of the goods could end up somewhere else.
“We added a clause that it is impossible to export the ammunition that we gave to Turkey without our consent,” Vucic said, noting that Serbia “didn’t force anyone to go to war.”
Previously, allegations appeared in the Russian media and Telegram channels that Serbia secretly delivered 3,500 rockets for the “Grad” missile systems to Ukraine via Turkey and Slovakia.
The manufacturer of the aforementioned rockets, the company Krušik from western Serbia, announced that it was in no way connected with the sale of rockets to the end user from Ukraine.
In the meantime, the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, said that Moscow has asked Belgrade for an official position on the information that Serbian weapons were delivered to Ukraine.
