Posters in support of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladic were pt up across east Bosnian town of Srebrenica just four days after High Representative to BiH Valentin Inzko imposed legal provisions banning genocide denial and glorification of war criminals.
The posters were put up Monday night. On them is the figure of Ratko Mladic with the message “You are our hero!”. The signature is the Municipal Organization of Families of Captured and Killed Fighters and Missing Civilians of RS – Srebrenica.
“Last night, posters with the image of the convicted war criminal for genocide Ratko Mladic were put up in our neighbours once again. We persistently said that the political and military leadership and individuals are responsible for the genocide, others persistently tell us that it is not as we think. They are just trying to show that individuals are not behind the crime of genocide, but masses of people. Denial of genocide is the last stage of genocide. Whether the signatories of the petition will be in the masses of accomplices in the genocide remains to be seen. Hopefully, they will come to their senses and renounce those who committed genocide in their name. We will not tire. Truth and justice are our eternal obligation. Srebrenica, July 27, 2021 “, wrote Alija Tabakovic, the head of the Bosniak Caucus in the Republika Srpska Assembly on his Facebook profile.
Srebrenica Municipality Assembly Speaker Camil Durakovic also reacted to the posters of Ratko Mladic tweeting “This it had to be imposed.”
