Officers from the Border Police Unit in Velika Kladusa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, successfully prevented the smuggling of 31 foreign nationals in the Velika Kladusa area.

The smuggling operation was uncovered in the village of Smrekovac, and the on-duty prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office of BiH was notified due to suspicions of human smuggling.

Further investigation revealed that the individuals involved were citizens of Turkey, Iraq, and Palestine. The case is currently under further investigation.

Additionally, three days ago near Zvornik, a Bosnian citizen identified as A. S. (born 1995) was arrested for attempting to smuggle two Indian nationals from Serbia into Bosnia and Herzegovina using a boat across the Drina River.

A report on the criminal offense of human smuggling will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against the Bosnian citizen. The two Indian nationals have been handed over to the BiH Foreigners Affairs Service and were subsequently readmitted to Serbia through a fast-track procedure.
