Despite facing American sanctions and the resulting challenges, Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, has reiterated that this Bosnian entity will endure. Speaking at an event in Derventa, Dodik assured that Republika Srpska has sufficient funds to function normally and meet all its obligations on time.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska will neither leave this region nor disappear despite ongoing pressures.
"I may be going through a difficult time right now, but salaries and pensions will be paid regularly. We will pay this month's pension before the 10th. We will also pay September's pension before the 10th," Dodik stated.
He affirmed that the institutions of Republika Srpska will ensure the entity continues to operate smoothly.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Milan Milicevic from the SDS has called on Dodik to step down from political life for the sake of Republika Srpska, which is facing sanctions due to his actions. Milicevic predicted that the situation in Republika Srpska would become increasingly difficult.
