Providing information to certain media that the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, gave a statement to the members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) of BiH in Banja Luka is further evidence that this is a prosecutorial-political-media game aimed at one of the most important institutions in every normal state, Dodik's office said.
“It is absolutely unacceptable and immature to submit and publish information that the President of the RS made a statement – that speaks volumes about BiH and its institutions. On the other hand, it is clear that this is a combination of those acting together against the RS, the institutions and the Serb people,” the Cabinet said.
They added that the announcement that Dodik had given a statement to SIPA officials “violated the secrecy of the ongoing investigation by order of the Court and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, and the said action creates public pressure and violates the presumption of innocence, because of journalistic reporting, especially of media outlets in the Federation entity (FBiH), carried out in such a way that the persons mentioned in the text have already been sentenced.”
Dodik's office also said that the behaviour of SIPA officers was as professional and correct as possible.
The RS President made a statement Wednesday to SIPA officers as a suspect in the overthrow of the constitutional order of BiH, due to the adoption of a law in the National Assembly of the RS, on the non-enforcement of decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this entity.
Dodik made a statement in Banja Luka, in the RS Government building.
