Konakovic described the meeting as "effective and efficient," highlighting the profound alignment between the two countries. "It seems to me that we are two countries facing nearly identical problems and seeking identical solutions," Konakovic stated.

He emphasized that European integration remains the most viable path to resolving demographic decline, which he attributed directly to economic constraints. "If we succeed in quickly improving economic conditions in our countries, not only will people stay, but I am convinced that those who have sought employment outside our borders will return home," he added.

The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to a joint approach toward Brussels. Konakovic noted that their administrations are actively coordinating stances on EU policies, including challenges regarding professional drivers and the new EU Entry/Exit System.

"We are complaining together about this Entry/Exit system, which disturbs both us and our citizens and hinders tourism potential," he remarked.

Minister Mucunski reiterated North Macedonia’s unwavering support for its partner’s strategic trajectory. "We maintain a regular and frequent political dialogue, which, in today's geopolitical context, represents a rare and positive example in our region," said Mucunski.

He further confirmed that "our clear and unequivocal support for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina" remains a priority, alongside full respect for the country's territorial integrity.

To stimulate economic growth, the officials discussed re-establishing a direct flight between Sarajevo and Skopje. Konaković confirmed that Bosnia is prepared to provide financial subsidies for the route, calling it "strategically very important."

With bilateral trade currently at 225 million euros, both ministers agreed that fostering closer ties through business forums is essential to unlocking further potential and securing a future for the region’s youth.
