Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karic called on 49 twin cities of Sarajevo to support the UN Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica.

“Dear fellow mayors, to all of us who unreservedly seek truth, justice and peace, this is a moral, human and professional responsibility. The solidarity of our friends throughout the region, Europe and the world was a beacon of hope in the darkest moments of the history of Sarajevo. We need it again! The Resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica testifies to our common commitment to truth, justice and memory. This Resolution will be discussed at the next United Nations General Assembly in May. As a proud Sarajevan, Bosnian, the Mayor of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I invite you to support the Resolution! Together we can ensure that voices of the victims are heard and that justice once again defeats evil,”, Mayor Karic pointed out in her call, the City of Sarajevo announced.
