The US Office of Foreign Assets Control removed the owner and director of the company "Integral inzenjering" who passed away last year, Slobodan Stankovic, from its list of sanctioned individuals and entities. The company was also removed from the list.

Stankovic and his company were sanctioned by the US Treasury in 2022 over alleged links to corruption in the construction sector, where the company won some of the biggest projects in BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity thanks to its ties to the political leadership.

OFAC explained the decision at the time saying that large construction projects were often awarded to Stanković without fair and open competition. “The majority of Stankovic's wealth comes from public funds,” the US Treasury Department said.

Stankovic passed away in Banja Luka on February 7, 2023 at the age of 74.
