Bosnia's tripartite Presidency joined global leaders and people from all parts of the world, expressing condolences to the people and government of Sri Lanka following a series of explosions which left hundreds dead and injured on Sunday.

“I am horrified and deeply saddened by the news on terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, especially due to the fact that all this is happening when the Catholic faithful celebrate Easter, the feast of peace and joy,” said Presidency Chairman, Milorad Dodik.

Other two members, Sefik Dzaferovic and Zeljko Komsic, also expressed their condolences, condemning the terrorist attacks on innocent people of Sri Lanka.

The death toll of the series of Sri Lanka explosions has risen to over 200, while hundreds were injured.

Bosnian state institutions have not received any information on Bosnian citizens being injured in the attacks.

“According to information our embassy has, there are no citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sri Lanka with permanent residence nor were there any announced tourist visits in that country. It is possible that someone travelled there in their own arrangement and, if there are such persons, we urge their acquaintances, friends to inform our embassy in New Delhi in case they need any assistance,” said Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson, Nebojsa Regoje.
