The Working Group in Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by the Council of Ministers Chair, Borjana Kristo, has agreed on a List of Reforms with qualitative/quantitative steps for the implementation of the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
The List of Reforms approved by the Working Group is almost entirely aligned with the proposals of the European Commission, with over 97 percent of reform activities being agreed upon with representatives of the European Commission and the EU Delegation to BiH.
The Directorate for Economic Planning of the Council of Ministers of BiH will submit the agreed List of Reforms to the European Commission on Tuesday, to fulfil this ambitious plan from 2024 to 2027, as announced by Krišto's office.
In November 2023, the European Commission adopted a completely new instrument intended to bring the Western Balkans countries closer to the EU standards. The instrument is called the “Growth Plan” for a reason and it was designed to accelerate reforms and directly contribute to the lives of citizens. It also brings with it the opportunity to receive over €1 billion for each of the Western Balkans countries.
