The Chairman of the Council of Ministers, as the BiH government is officially called, Zoran Tegeltija, talked on the phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel Wednesday.
The telephone conversation took place on the eve of the summit of the Berlin Process on July 5 in Berlin, at the initiative of Chancellor Merkel. The two discussed the upcoming summit and the future of the EU enlargement.
During the conversation, Chairman Tegeltija expressed gratitude for Germany's continued support for BiH's European integration, and welcomed the Berlin Process initiative, expressing hope that the Berlin Summit would be another confirmation of the region's and the European Union's commitment to enlargement and EU accession.
In a conversation with Chancellor Merkel, Chairman Tegeltija emphasized BiH's commitment to the European path, and the connection and improvement of regional cooperation, which, as he emphasized, showed its importance during the coronavirus pandemic.
At the end of the talks, the interlocutors jointly expressed satisfaction with the current bilateral relations between Germany and BiH, and pointed out the possibilities for further improvement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
