After15 years of unsuccessful attempts, the Council of Ministers adopted the Security Programme for Civil Aviation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the proposal of the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Forto,the ministry said on Tuesday.

By adopting the Programme, Bosnia and Herzegovina fulfilled the international obligation established by Annex 17 of the Chicago Convention and recognised the One Stop Security measures that are applied in EU member states.

“The programme regulates security measures and competent institutions for fulfilling BiH's international obligations in the field of civil aviation safety and ensuring the protection of passengers and aircraft personnel, facilities and equipment both in regular and risky and crisis situations,” according to the statement.
