The Law on the Courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be included in the agenda of the session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will be held on Tuesday, March 12. This was one of the three conditions that BiH needs to fulfill in order to receive approval from the EU to start membership negotiations.

As the leaders of the coalition parties that make up the government at the BiH level said earlier, working groups have been working on legal solutions following the last meeting in Mostar. However, it remains unknown whether an agreement has been reached where the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH will be located. SNSD leader Milorad Dodik wants it to be in Banja Luka.

BiH previously started negotiations with Frontex, and the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest in BiH Institutions and the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorist Activities were also adopted, which were also conditions for opening negotiations.

If the Council of Ministers of BiH adopts this law, it will be sent to the parliamentary procedure. It needs to be adopted by both chambers in Parliament in order for it to enter into force.
