Croatia's Foreign Minister Gordan Grlic-Ramdan met with international peace envoy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, High Representative Christian Schmidt, who thanked Croatia's official for the support to BiG's bid to achieve the candidate status for the European Union.

“Good exchange with Croatian MFEA Gordan Grlić Radman. Croatia is one of BiH's most important partners when it comes to overcoming the past, achieving reconciliation, and moving towards a prosperous EU future,” Schmidt's office tweeted on Wednesday.

It also said it was “paramount for this region to continue working together and overcoming all challenges for the sake of a peaceful future for new generations.”

Schmidt thanked Croatia for their support to BiH in the recent UN Security Council debate and BiH's bid to achieve EU candidate status.

Grlic-Radman also met US Ambassador to BiH Michael Murphy, and it was briefly stated on the embassy's Twitter account that the officials discussed regional stability and security in the Western Balkans.
