BiH Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik defended Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, on Wednesday, saying “Bosniak politicians’ attacks against him were unfounded and inappropriate."
“The manner and vocabulary in which they address the President of the neighbouring state show that Bosniaks don’t care about peace at home or peace in the region, because if they did, they would respect the fact that Zoran Milanovic is the President of the Republic of Croatia and that one of three constituent peoples in BiH is the Croat people,” Dodik said.
Dodik added that the President of Croatia “did not insult anyone in BiH who wants to speak the facts and that he expressed views with which someone may or may not agree, but no one has the right to use such qualifications about the head of a neighbouring country.”
During Milanovic’s visit to BiH, he stated that he believes that Bosniaks unfairly impose a member of the Presidency of BiH on Croats and warned that Croatia will not give up on protecting the rights of the Croat people as guaranteed by the original Dayton Peace Agreement.
The Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, Sefik Dzaferovic, said on Monday that the Croatian President was behaving like “a rude guest in someone else's house.” Dzaferovic insisted that Milanovic only came to BiH to cause problems and incidents.
