Protests have been announced for Wednesday afternoon in several BiH cities due to rising prices of basic foodstuffs, fuel and various services. In Sarajevo, a gathering of citizens began at the Skenderija plateau.
From there, the gathered will head towards the state parliament building, where the protests are expected to begin at 4:30 p.m. As Mirza Hadziabdic, the spokesperson of the Sarajevo Canton Police told for N1, the protests were reported to the Police and Harun Salkic is named as the organizer.
“I returned from Switzerland 25 years ago, thinking I'd be better off here. I've been suffering this injustice and theft for so many years. I cannot understand that there can be such people who'd do this to their own people. They are worse than those who shot at us [during the Bosnian war of 1992-1995], they are starving us to death,” a Sarajevan said.
Protesters who gathered in front of the BiH parliament building also chanted “thieves, thieves” to the politicians:

Harun Salkic, the organizer of the protests in Sarajevo said that more protests are planned in the future. He added that the goal is to send a message to politicians for everything that they are not doing.
“The ruling structures are working only for their personal interests. We are planning more protests in the future”, said Salkic.
Protests in Banja Luka should start at 7:00 p.m. Protests organized by the Restart RS Association are scheduled at Krajina Square.
Protests are scheduled in Tuzla, Mostar, Zenica, Bihac, Gorazde, Travnik, Bijeljina, Prijedor, Doboj and many other cities.
