The construction will be carried out by a consortium led by the Belgrade-based company "Konvar," which includes "Gasteh" from Indjija, "Radis" from Istočno Sarajevo, the "Welding Institute" from Belgrade, and "Jokic Invest" from Zvornik.
Spanning approximately 500 kilometres, the pipeline project is scheduled for completion in three distinct phases. The first phase involves the primary section from Sepak to Banja Luka, followed by the construction of connecting branch pipelines for 18 local municipalities, and concluding with the final section stretching from Banja Luka to Novi Grad.
Fieldwork is expected to commence in mid-summer this year, with a four-year deadline set for the completion of the entire project. Described as one of the most significant infrastructure and energy investments in Republika Srpska, the project aims to modernise gas infrastructure and enhance energy supply security.
The contract was signed by Nedeljko Elek, Director of "Sarajevo-gas" East Sarajevo, and Milos Petrovic, Director of "Konvar." The ceremony was attended by RS Prime Minister Savo Minic and the Minister of Energy and Mining, Petar djokic.
