The editor-in-chief of RT and the media group "Rossiya Segodnya" Margarita Simonyan revealed that the Russian television Russia Today will start broadcasting its television in the Republika Srpska entity, as well as in the territory of the entire state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from next year.
The comment followed Thursday's big conference by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, who, answering the question of the journalist from the Republika Srpska, Darinka Petrovic, on why there are no Russian media in the RS yet, said that he will ask his colleagues to see what can be done about it.
“Next year, we will start broadcasting a program in the Serbian language, which has never existed until now. We will find you, my dear, and make sure that everything is set up on your TV, that all the necessary antennas are connected”, Simonyan told “Russia 1” television.
Simonyan also recalled that the Serbian-language RT portal (RT Balkan) is already active in the Balkans and confirmed that next year the Russian RT television will be broadcast not only within the Republika Srpska entity, but also in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
