Health Minister Bosnia's Serb-dominated region Republika Srpska (RS) Alen Seranic visited the Gradiska customs terminal on Monday where he said the tent-quarantine for the people entering the country and those violating self-isolation measures, should be operational by late afternoon.

“Sensitive population groups such as pregnant women and mothers with children should be separated from other tent residents. We also made room for doctors and police,” Republika Srpska Health Minister told reporters.

He said that speaking to Gradiska Mayor Zoran Adzic, the two agreed that this space would also be used to quarantine those persons who violated the isolation measures in this north Bosnian town.

Adzic urged the citizens who were sent to home isolation to strictly abide by it because the police authorities would quarantine all those who did not comply.

He said that the current quarantine capacity in Gradiska is 140 persons, 100 in tents and 40 in a walled facility, but that the capacity will be expanded by 60 more beds.

According to him, all the work related to quarantine nutrition will be done by the RS Civil Protection Agency.
