Bosnian lawmaker Zukan Helez, who was invited to discuss the situation in Bosnia with MEPs, could not do so because he could not present a QR code since he was vaccinated against COVID-19 in Bugojno, where electronic identification of vaccination certificates have not been introduced.
“We had some meetings with members of the European Parliament. I could not go even though I was vaccinated, I received two doses of Pfizer vaccine here in Bugojno,” he told N1.

“The Central Bosnia Canton does not have the code needed in the EU, so they warned me that I could enter the country, but I could not go to a hotel, restaurant, the European Commission headquarters, or anywhere,” he said.
Helez has a diplomatic passport and was supposed to travel to Brussels alongside his colleagues from Bosnia’s Social Democratic Party (SD), Sasa Magazinovic and Vojin Mijatovic.
Magazinovic and Mijatovic spoke to MEPs, including Dietmar Koster, from Germany’s Social Democrats, about the ongoing political crisis in BiH on Wednesday.”We had some meetings with members of the European Parliament.
