The National Assembly of Bosnia's Republika Srpska entity adopted several conclusions Wednesday regarding the evaluation of the work of the High Representative, the implementation of Annex 10 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace, at a time of talks on the appointment of a new High Representative in BiH.

Among other things, the RS parliament adopted the information on the implementation of Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which ended the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia. A total of 49 MPs voted in favour of the proposed material and one MP was against it. All but one opposition MPs left the session, leaving Nebojsa Vukanovic alone in the hall.

The National Assembly believes that it is time for BiH with its two entities and three constituent peoples to take responsibility for its own development in accordance with the Dayton Agreement and international law, and if this is not on the agenda soon, talks on peaceful separation should be launched, one of the conclusions states.

MP caucuses from the SNSD, Demos, SP, NDP-NPS and United Srpska also adopted a conclusion, according to which the RS cannot accept the imposition of any person for the High Representative and “will inform the parties to Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement”, especially with a proposal to abolish the High Representative. representative and review the decisions of High Representatives taken outside the mandate set out in Annex 10.”

Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement regulates the institution of the High Representative and its mandate regarding the oversight of the civilian implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
