Denying the Srebrenica genocide, Bosnian Serb Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik expressed regret over the fallen Bosniaks, Serbs and Croat during the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia, especially the civilians, women and children during his speech marking the St. Vitus Day - the patron saint of the Third Infantry Regiment of the BiH Armed Forces on Monday.

Dodik said that the Serbs had always been on the winning side with enormous suffering.

“We're a people who could stand in front of all those who tried to occupy and oppress us, regardless of the high price paid, we kept our faith during the historical challenges that we would be on the winning side,” said Dodik.

He added that “many peoples in the region are trying to create a myth for a new nation with various events, such as the Srebrenica [genocide], while Serbs have a historical memory of defeats and victories.

Congratulating the St. Vitus Day, Milorad Dodik said that he knew how difficult it was for Serb officers in the BiH Armed Forces.

He added that “the Serb people must no longer be naive and trust Bosniaks, Croats and others on the global stage.”
The BiH Presidency chairman called the assessment of the connection between the celebration of St. Vitus Day in Sasa on the eve of the celebration of July 11 – the genocide in Srebrenica morbid.

“Srebrenica belongs to Republika Srpska. Isn't there anything more logical than to celebrate St. Vitus Day in a Serb monastery? Does anyone forbid Bosniaks from celebrating anything,” Dodik asked.

Milorad Dodik expressed regret for every Bosniak, Serb and Croat killed during the past war, especially the civilians, women, children and the elderly.
