Magazinovic: No country has the right to decide Bosnia and Herzegovina's internal affairs

The intention of part of Croatia's ruling coalition to initiate a debate in the Croatian Parliament on the future constitutional and political structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an unacceptable expression of disrespect for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s sovereignty, while the accompanying threats represent an intention to act against Bosnia and Herzegovina, beginning with political means, said Saša Magazinovic, an SDP BiH member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, commenting on the debate in the Croatian Parliament regarding the organization of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Magazinovic stated that it is unprecedented for the parliament of one country to attempt to shape the political and constitutional order of another sovereign state.
''Therefore, the least that can be expected is for the Government of the Republic of Croatia to present an official position on this issue so that we can clearly determine whether this is merely the position of one governing party or the position of the Croatian Government as a whole,'' Magazinovic said.
He emphasized that, regardless of who is behind what he described as an attack on the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, everyone should understand that neither Croatia, nor Serbia, nor any other country has either the right or the ability to decide on the internal affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to him, the only place where decisions about the country's future can be made is the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
''Croatian politicians, if they truly have surplus energy and time beyond dealing with the everyday problems faced by Croatian citizens, should use that time more wisely than they are doing now. I would suggest that they address the worrying rise of neo-fascism in Croatia and the policies that support it. I advise them to follow the example of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and adopt a Resolution condemning all forms of neo-fascism and reaffirming Europe’s anti-fascist heritage. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, all parliamentary parties voted in favor of this Resolution. Whether the same would happen in 'European' Croatia is a question they should answer themselves,'' Magazinovic said in a written statement.
