Border Police of BiH prevent smuggling of five Turkish nationals near Posusje

The smuggling attempt was discovered during state border surveillance and an inspection of a passenger vehicle bearing BiH license plates, driven by a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, the Border Police of BiH said in a statement.

The duty prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH was notified of the incident on suspicion of the criminal offense of human smuggling.

Acting on the prosecutor's orders, the driver was questioned as a suspect, and the vehicle, money and other evidentiary materials were temporarily seized.

A report on the suspected criminal offense of human smuggling will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against the suspect, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. The BiH Service for Foreigners' Affairs was also notified of the incident.
